Europe’s travel and hospitality sector is being reshaped by a new generation of startups tackling some of the industry’s most practical challenges.

From hotel operations and campsite management to eSIM connectivity, flight tracking, tax-free shopping, and AI-powered customer engagement, these companies are building tools that make travel smoother for customers and more efficient for operators.

Together, they show how TravelTech is moving beyond booking platforms and becoming part of the infrastructure that supports the entire travel journey.

On that note, if you’re looking for a place to connect with some of the most forward-thinking minds in the industry, the FutureTravel Summit 2026 is the perfect place to be!

Taking place in Barcelona, the summit will feature a curated programme of keynotes, panels, and a fast-paced pitch competition. It is a unique opportunity to gain insights into the sector’s momentum and meet those who are shaping the future of travel.

In this article, we highlight 10 European startups bringing fresh technology to travel and hospitality.

*All were founded between 2023 and 2026, and the list is organised alphabetically. All funding data sourced from Dealroom.co.

chatlyn

Headquartered in Vienna, chatlyn is building an AI communication hub for hotels. Its platform brings guest communications from channels such as email, WhatsApp, SMS, webchat, social media, and booking platforms into one system, while offering automation, real-time translation in over 35 languages, and integrations with property management systems.

The startup aims to become the “AI brain for hotels” by supporting front desk, reservations, marketing, and guest services teams with faster and more personalised communication. Since its founding in 2023, Chatlyn has raised €8 million in funding to accelerate product development, expand geographically, and strengthen its team.

Grand-PMS

Grand PMS is a Danish hospitality startup offering an all-in-one property management system powered by AI and designed specifically for the hospitality industry. Its platform supports accommodation and hospitality operators with core property management tools, helping them manage daily operations through software built around the needs of hotels and similar businesses.

Rather than targeting travellers directly, Grand PMS provides the operational software layer used by hotels and hospitality businesses to manage their properties more efficiently. Since its founding in 2025, Grand PMS has raised €1.5 million in funding.

holacamp

HolaCamp is a Barcelona-based travel and hospitality startup founded in 2025, focused on operating and modernising campsites. The startup works with traditionally owner-managed campsite businesses, using investment and digitalisation to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and the overall quality of camping and glamping stays.

Its model combines the management of its own campsites, the management of third-party campsites, and tour operating, giving it a broad role across the camping market. HolaCamp also supports campsite owners with areas such as revenue management, quality control, e-reputation, customer service, and centralised operations. They managed to secure €31 million in funding to expand their campsite network.

kolet

Headquartered in Paris and founded in 2024, Kolet provides eSIM connectivity for international travellers in more than 190 countries. It helps travellers access mobile data through digital SIM cards that can be purchased and activated via an app, offering an alternative to physical SIM cards and traditional roaming charges.

Its B2B2C model allows travel partners such as airlines and travel agencies to embed Kole’s eSIM solutions into their own customer journeys, making connectivity part of the wider travel experience. Since its founding, the startup has raised €13.3 million.

Maya

Founded in 2023 in Antwerp, Maya is a white-label AI agent designed to help travel companies increase revenue while reducing manual work. Its platform provides SaaS-based travel content services and helps travel businesses improve how they engage website visitors, turning browsing interest into stronger customer leads and bookings.

By using AI to support content creation, customer interaction, and conversion, Maya fits within the TravelTech space as a tool for agencies and travel companies rather than travellers directly. The startup has raised €1 million to develop its AI-powered platform.

otelAI

Otel AI is a Dublin-based hospitality tech startup offering an AI-powered co-worker for hotel operators. Its platform is designed to support hotel leaders by streamlining back-office tasks and turning complex operational and business data into clearer, actionable insights.

Rather than replacing hotel management systems, Otel AI works as an intelligent assistant that helps operators make better use of their existing data and reduce time spent on manual analysis. Founded in 2025, the startup raised €2.8 million in funding.

stamp

Launched in 2023 in Madrid, STAMP provides digital tax-free services for travellers. Its platform helps merchants offer a smoother tax-free shopping experience by digitising the process, making it easier for eligible international shoppers to claim VAT refunds on purchases.

The startup sits at the intersection of travel, retail, and FinTech, supporting both merchants and travellers with a more efficient alternative to traditional paper-based refund processes. STAMP has secured €7.3 million in funding to expand its digital tax-free platform.

Toppi

Toppi is an Amsterdam-based hospitality startup founded in 2024, helping restaurants, cafes, bars, and hotels turn online visibility into real-world guests. Its AI-powered platform supports hospitality businesses as customer discovery shifts across search engines, maps, and AI tools, helping them improve how they appear online and attract more customers.

The startup is developing two products: Toppi Essential, an AI platform focused on online visibility, and Toppi Co-pilot, which combines its AI tools with on-demand services. Toppi secured nearly €1 million in funding to accelerate product development, strengthen its team, and scale its AI-powered solutions for the hospitality sector.

Vuelo

Launched in 2025, Vuelo is building an AI-native travel booking and payments platform. The startup allows customers to discover, book, finance, and plan holidays, hotels, flights, and experiences through one integrated experience, while spreading the cost over interest-free instalments lasting from three to twelve months.

Its platform combines personalised trip recommendations with embedded payment plans, using AI to understand travel context, customer preferences, and risk profiles before presenting booking options. Vuelo secured €65.2 million in funding.

wingbits

Wingbits is a Stockholm-based aviation tech startup founded in 2023, creating a flight tracking network powered by contributors around the world. Its system collects aircraft tracking data through antennas maintained by aviation enthusiasts, turning a traditionally unpaid community into an active part of the data infrastructure behind real-time flight visibility.

It uses blockchain technology to reward contributors based on the quality of the data they provide, including performance, coverage, and uptime. By building one of the world’s largest community-driven flight tracking datasets, Wingbits aims to improve aviation data reliability and support use cases such as reducing delays, optimising routes, and improving operational efficiency. The startup has raised €7.8 million in total funding.
