Copenhagen-based startup Signal has secured investment to expand its AI-driven platform for data-driven investors. The funding comes from notable investors like Rune Christensen, Mads Mikkelsen, and Simon Bækgaard Christoffersen, but the exact amount remains undisclosed. Signal’s platform leverages artificial intelligence to provide venture and private equity funds with real-time data on potential investments, candidates, and competitors, facilitating informed decision-making. With this funding, Signal aims to accelerate its growth and establish a strong presence in global private equity and venture markets.
Signal is a Danish tech company that has developed an intelligent data platform for funds. Using artificial intelligence, Signal’s platform assists venture and private equity funds in obtaining real-time, better data on potential investments, candidates, and competitors. In this way, Signal helps investors make more informed, data-driven decisions for all types of professional investments.
“We are incredibly proud that the investors have put their faith in us, and we are very excited to have them join our journey. The new ownership brings significant knowledge and experience from the tech and venture industry, which we are confident will create substantial value for Signal” says Simon Bøttkjær, founder of Signal.
Both founders, Simon Bøttkjær and Jacob Graubæk Houlberg, have backgrounds in the venture capital industry. The industry is rapidly evolving and has significantly increased its focus on using artificial intelligence to enhance and automate their work in recent years.
“Technology is turning every industry upside down at the moment, and the venture industry is certainly no exception. Especially artificial intelligence is currently creating A and B teams in venture funds and capital firms. Those with the best tools win the best deals and create the most value for their investors” says Jacob Graubæk Houlberg, founder of Signal.
As part of Signal’s strategy, the plan is to use the newly raised capital to boost growth and establish a presence among leading global players in the private equity and venture markets.
“As new investors, we buy into Signal’s ambitions to reach private equity and venture funds globally, and we believe in the significant potential to build strong customer relationships and partnerships with funds and business angels internationally” says Rune Christensen, founder of MakerDAO and investor in Signal.
“We have great faith that the platform will create value among leading international players in alternative investments. The development of AI has brought about significant changes, and now it will also revolutionize the investment industry” says Mads Mikkelsen, co-founder of Practio and investor in Signal.
