Baltic operator Delska has launched its 10MW data center in Riga, Latvia.
The company this week launched EU North Riga LV DC1.
Delska said the 7,100 sqm (76,425 sq ft) facility can support up to 250kW per rack. The site is reportedly expandable up to 30MW.
“Two years ago, I had the honor of attending the topping-out ceremony of the new Delska data center and today marks the beginning of a new chapter in Latvia’s IT sector. I am confident that EU North Riga LV DC1 will become a significant milestone in Latvia’s digital development, proving our ability not only to follow global trends but also to actively shape them,” said Daiga Mierina, speaker of the Parliament of Latvia.
The facility’s power needs are offset by renewable energy. The site’s generators use renewable diesel from Neste.
Plans for the facility were first announced in May 2022, with completion originally scheduled for Q4 2024. The company topped out the facility in November 2024.
Delska is formed of two companies, DEAC and Data Logistics Center, which merged in 2024. Both companies have been part of the Baltic Rezo group, owned by Swiss Quaero European Infrastructure Fund II and managed by Quaero Capital since 2020.
It operates six data centers in Riga and Vilnius with a total capacity of 19 MW.
