The major shareholders of Salumifici Gran Terre (SGT) and Parmacotto, two Italian charcuteries producers, signed an agreement for merging the companies and create a 1.1 billion euros turnover business (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Intesa Sanpaolo acted as exclusive financial and m&a advisor for the transaction. SGT retained Ettore Rocchi. Parmacotto hired Studio Legale Balossi and Quaglia. Parmacotto completed its turnaround and relaunch in 2020, two years earlier than scheduled. Prior to closing this transaction, the company belonged to Elisa Zaccanti (37.5%), Gaia Zaccanti (37.5%) and Giovanni Zaccanti (25% – chairman). Ivano Chezzi is the chairman of SGT.

The shareholders of Fenice, the company of popular Italian influencer Chiara Ferragni, appointed Claudio Roberto Calabi as chief executive officer (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The manager previously worked for RCS Editori, Camuzzi, I Viaggi del Ventaglio, and Il Sole 24 Ore. Calabi is also the chairman of Risanamento, PSC–Italtel and Milano Santa Giulia and acts as private equity industrial advisor for Nextalia. Press rumours say that he is trying to raise the resources for acquiring Italian newspaper La Repubblica from GEDI, part of Exor. Calabi has the task to attract new investors for Fenice after Ferragni and Paolo Barletta (40% owner through Alchimia) resigned as ceo and chairman.

In 3Q24, the number of Italian real estate auctions dropped while the median value of the assets amounts to 0.170 million euros for an aggregate least bid price of 14 billion (-25% from 19 billion in 3Q23), said a report of Osservatorio Cherry Brick, a fintech investor in NPEs that Giovanni Bossi cofounded (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Chai Botta is the Infrastructure Lead of Cherry.

BonelliErede appointed Franco Agopyan as co-Leader for its Focus Team Private Equity for working with managing partner Eliana Catalano (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The firm also hired Giovanni Colantuono as partner for the private equity team. Agopyan previously worked for Chiomenti with Colantuono who is also a Sullivan & Cromwell alumnus, took the New York State Bar and is Solicitor in England and Wales. Massimiliano Danusso is the chairman of BonelliErede.
