Italian startup WIB (Warehouse in a box) granted a 750k euros financing round from 16 business angels and Vertis Venture and RedSeed Venture funds (download here the Italian press release).

Fouded in Sicily by Nino Lo Iacono, WIB was born thanks to Palermo University’s Arca incubator and was accelerated by the Seed-lab program.
WIBÂ is a fully automatic, modular, e-commerce enabled vending store able to handle hundreds of different products with different shapes and packagings. Consumers can purchase through its touch screen interface or through the e-commerce platform, picking up their purchase conveniently 24/7 at the choosen store.
WIB is now launching its product, the first store being realized for IperCoop Sicilia supermarkets chain.
