German quantum firm Quint Computing has raised €9.1 million ($10.2m) in a Series A funding round to support the development of its novel architecture for fault-tolerant quantum computers.

Led by Vsquared Ventures, Quantonation, Nucleus Capital, Faber, Vanagon Ventures, and ZOHO.VC also participated in the round. The startup was also awarded a €2.2 million ($2.5m) Pathfinder grant by the European Innovation Council (EIC).

In a statement, Quint said the funding will support the expansion of its research and engineering team and help accelerate its technology development and advance its first industrial deployment projects.

Founded in 2025 and headquartered in Erlangen, Germany, the startup was spun out of Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and is now part of the Munich Quantum Valley (MQV) ecosystem.

Quint claims that its technology offers a “novel superconducting quantum chip architecture” that eliminates a significant fraction of errors directly within individual circuit elements, eliminating the need for complex error correction algorithms by preventing errors at a hardware level.

This approach, the company says, is expected to reduce complexity, hardware overhead, and energy consumption by “a factor of 100,” while still maintaining computational speed.

“The race to build commercially viable quantum computers is gaining momentum,” said Christopher Eichler, co-founder and CEO of Quint Computing. “Quint has a clear roadmap to accelerate the development of the required technology. Our unique processor architecture reduces complexity while maintaining high clock speed. The result is more computing power, lower operational costs, and a shorter path to commercialization.”
