Deoleo, the global leader in the olive oil sector, has entered into an agreement with the consortium formed by Acesur and Dcoop to advance the sale process of the company. The selected offer implies an enterprise value of 520 million euros. Beyond the financial backing and strength of the proposal, Deoleo and its majority shareholders have particularly valued the high certainty of execution guaranteed by the transaction.
The strategic agreement with the consortium consolidates and drives Spain’s global leadership in the agrifood industry. Acesur and Dcoop, deeply rooted in the Spanish olive-growing heritage, bring a strong connection to the origin, extensive agricultural reach, and outstanding production capabilities. These attributes complement Deoleo’s structure, which is widely recognized for its excellence in FMCG marketing and its well-established international commercial and distribution networks.
According to Ignacio Silva, Chairman of Deoleo: “This transaction recognises the work carried out in recent years and the constant support of our majority shareholders, highlighting the value of a portfolio of iconic brands that are part of our agri-food heritage. The partnership with Acesur and Dcoop decisively strengthens Deoleo’s leadership across the entire olive oil value chain and provides operational certainty for producers and the sector as a whole. I would like to personally thank the Board of Directors for their work throughout this process, enabling us to identify what we consider to be the best option for the group, its shareholders and its brands, as well as for the European olive oil and agricultural sector as a whole.”
Cristóbal Valdés, CEO of Deoleo, stated: “I would like to express my satisfaction with the agreement reached and endorsed by the Board of Directors. I would also like to highlight the commitment of all the company’s employees: their devotion is the true driving force behind the group and is what has made Deoleo a benchmark for its talent and its brands. Today we are a solid and highly attractive company, recognised for our commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability, and for our international distribution network guided by the Evoo-lution roadmap. This milestone marks the start of a new phase, built on solid foundations and with a long-term vision to continue creating value for the sector and all our stakeholders.”
