BeBeez Trading Floor roundup with eToro support about the performances of private capital firms listed on global exchanges.
The positive news from the economy, the business world and the financial results of individual fund managers made investors optimist regarding the outlook for the private capital sector, following weeks overshadowed by a cloud of uncertainty.
The fog is lifting on the interest rates front. Given the recent troubled of the US AI sector, where investment in the sector is having to contend with a sharp rise in yields that the 500 billion US Dollars in accumulated debt triggered, economists are forecasting a slowdown in US GDP, which could ease the Federal Reserve’s restrictive stance, at the very least dissuading it from further rate rises – assuming the one scheduled for the next FOMC meeting goes ahead. Meanwhile, yields in the Eurozone hit their 15-year highs, and investors don’t expect no further increase.
In a stable macroeconomic environment, company-specific news takes centre stage. Frankfurt-listed specialist in corporate turnarounds Mutares (+16.3%) which often experiences sharp fluctuations continues to demonstrate its ability to achieve successful exits and confiming its ability to generate cash and maintain a stable dividend flow. The firm sold Natura, Poland’s third-largest drugstore chain, to domestic trade buyer Specjał, one of the country’s largest retail groups (press release). Such a deal allowed Mutares to stage a dramatic recovery compared with recent weeks, and analysts believe this is more than just a temporary rebound.

On 22 October, Thursday, NYSE-listed giant Blackstone (+10.7%) released its 3Q26 results which showed a YTD rise in profit both on a quarterly basis and cumulatively with stable revenues and rising management fees in light of higher volumes and a fall in expenses. In the first nine months of 2026, growth exceeded 20% (quarterly presentation).
NYSE-listed Ares Management (+8.8%) rebounded after the falls that experienced in recent weeks.
Dutch discount store chain Action accounts for around two-thirds of London-listed 3i (-7.5%) NAV. Any news, good or bad, coming out of the retail and consumer goods sector is of immediate impact on 3i’s share price. This was the case last week, when concerns sparked by the unrest in several French cities – where Action has a strong presence – and fears that the French public debt crisis fuelled cast a shadow over the earnings prospects of the retailer.
