The group is dropping Burnratty Investment Group partnership to pursue M&A strategy independently
XRP Healthcare, the pharma and healthcare platform built on the XRP Ledger and headquartered in Dubai with an Abu Dhabi incorporation, has announced the establishment of XRP Healthcare Africa in Uganda, a fully owned, autonomous entity with a legal structure compliant with Ugandan law. The move supersedes the partnership announced in April 2023 with The Burnratty Investment Group, led by Mukisa Joshua William, (see here a previous article by BeBeez International) which will no longer be part of the company’s plans going forward (see here the press release).
The newly incorporated Ugandan entity will operate alongside XRP Healthcare’s existing Dubai arm, which will continue to facilitate acquisitions across the African continent. The overarching goal is to consolidate a highly fragmented African healthcare sector through mergers and acquisitions of small and medium-sized private healthcare businesses, starting from Uganda and East Africa.
XRP Healthcare leverages the XRP Ledger for decentralized, secure healthcare transactions, with the aim of modernizing payment systems and improving access to care in African emerging markets through a combination of M&A activity and AI-driven technology.
“Our vision for XRP Healthcare Africa is to create a robust and unified healthcare entity that can efficiently address the needs of the African population,” said Kain Roomes, ceo and founder of XRP Healthcare, adding that “by consolidating our mergers and acquisitions local operations under XRP Healthcare Africa, we are eliminating dependencies on third-party entities such as The Burnratty Investment Group, which will no longer be part of our plans moving forward, but rather we have opted for a fully owned entity such as XRP Healthcare Africa, ensuring a streamlined and cohesive approach towards achieving our M&A goals here in Uganda”.
Business Development Officer Laban Roomes highlighted how the local incorporation allows the company to “navigate the unique challenges and opportunities within the African healthcare sector more effectively.” Chairman Whitney Lynn, who brings over 45 years of M&A experience, called the establishment of XRP Healthcare Africa “a significant milestone” in the company’s journey.
