German asset manager Kauri has acquired a 55,000 sqm (592,000 sq ft) parcel in Hochheim for the construction of a data center.
Kauri paid €24 million ($28.2m) for a land parcel located between Frankfurter Strasse and the B40, and the data center will offer around 40MW of capacity at completion, according to a report by the Frankfurter Neue Presse.Â
Construction is expected to take three years starting in 2028.
This transaction was done through Kauri’s data center subsidiary Kauri CAB Digital Infrastructure.
Berlin-based Kauri specializes in real estate. Its previous projects include the residential development Wasserstadt Mitte and the Berlin Spandau, both of which are located in Berlin.
Hochheim is not a data center hotspot. Located in the state of Hesse, the town is southwest of Frankfurt, home to Germany’s largest data center market.
