Staynex, a Singapore-based AI-powered Web3 travel platform chaired by Priceline and Booking Holdings founder Jeff Hoffman, today announced the full acquisition of Sleap.io, a Zug-based hotel booking technology company, in a transaction valued at €12.8 million ($15 million).
The deal integrates Sleap’s booking platform, operational capabilities, and core team into Staynex. The acquisition combines Staynex’s token-powered loyalty ecosystem and Asian market presence with Sleap’s proprietary hotel booking engine, European market expertise, and established relationships across the digital asset ecosystem, including Gate and Coinbase. The combined entity will operate under the Staynex brand.
This transaction occurs ahead of Staynex’s scheduled April 2026 token generation event (TGE) and upcoming exchange listing goals. It also signifies the official launch of its token-based travel rewards system, providing immediate practical use in real-world travel from the start.
“When we founded Sleap in 2023, our mission was to reimagine hotel booking for the Web3 era. Joining Staynex is a strong validation of that vision. I’m excited to step into a senior leadership role and work closely with Yuen and Jeff Hoffman to build something truly transformative. We’re not just combining two businesses, we’re helping define a new category of travel platform,” said Michael Ros, founder, Sleap.io.
Founded in Switzerland in 2023, Sleap is a Web3-powered hotel booking platform, integrating cryptocurrency payments, wallet-based authentication, and tokenised rewards to offer competitive rates and enhanced travel experiences. It offers access to more than 1.5 million hotels worldwide, and utilises the Camino Network along with the broader Web3 infrastructure.
Following the acquisition, Ros will become the CEO of Europe for Staynex Group. The core team from Sleap will also move to Staynex, maintaining continuity in product, engineering, operations, and commercial relationships as the combined company grows.
Staynex has been building an AI-powered Web3 travel ecosystem around the STAY token, social membership, and community-led travel experiences. Led by Jeff Hoffman, Staynex is combining travel credibility with crypto-native product design to create a platform where users can book, earn, engage, and participate in a rewards system built for modern travellers.
Together, the two companies build a more robust global base: Staynex expands its European presence, enhances its booking infrastructure, and benefits from an experienced hotel-tech team. Meanwhile, Sleap’s technology integrates into a wider consumer-focused ecosystem that emphasises token utility, AI, and social travel features.
“This acquisition gives Staynex exactly what the market is looking for right now: stronger traction, deeper infrastructure, and practical utility ahead of our next major milestones. Sleap has built exceptional booking technology and established meaningful credibility in Europe. Bringing their platform and team into Staynex ahead of our TGE and exchange listing phase significantly strengthens the foundation of the STAY ecosystem,” said Yuen Ho Wong, CEO and Founder, Staynex Group.
The integrated platform offers award-winning booking infrastructure linked to real travel demand, STAY rewards for booking activity to enhance token utility, AI-driven trip discovery and booking for a smoother user experience, social membership features focused on community, access, and engagement, as well as crypto and fiat payment options for global travel.
It aims for European expansion and increased market credibility through Sleap’s technology and partnerships, alongside a stronger pre-TGE case based on product readiness and consumer adoption.
