Agileday has raised €6.4 million in Series A funding to accelerate the global rollout of its AI-powered operating platform for professional services firms. The round was led by Newion, with participation from Specialist VC, Vendep Capital, and Business Finland. Agileday builds a people-centric professional services automation (PSA) platform that unifies sales pipeline data, project delivery, resource planning and financials into a single real-time system, acting as the operational layer between CRM and finance tools. With AI at its core, the platform helps consulting, IT and digital services companies break down silos, improve visibility and adapt faster as automation reshapes the sector. The fresh capital will be used to scale product development and expand aggressively across Europe and North America, where Agileday is seeing strong demand from both fast-growing consultancies and enterprise clients seeking more transparent, human-first ways to plan and run their services businesses.
Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Helsinki, Agileday develops a people-centric professional services automation (PSA) platform that connects talent, allocations, timesheets, project execution and financials into a single, unified operating system. Positioned as the operational engine between CRM and financial tools, the platform synchronizes sales pipeline, delivery and financial data in real time, with AI embedded at its core. By removing silos across sales, delivery and finance, Agileday aims to help professional services firms gain clearer visibility, execute faster and operate more efficiently in an increasingly automated, AI-driven environment.
The company was founded by experienced entrepreneurs Jaakko Hartikainen, Mikko Virtanen, Jaakko Hallavo and Hannu Kärkkäinen, who previously worked together at Tieto. Hartikainen and Virtanen encountered firsthand how fragmented systems, reactive decision-making and outdated management models often slow down growing services businesses. That experience shaped Agileday’s focus on transparency, human-centric leadership and data-driven operations, which now form the backbone of its product.
“Agileday was founded because we saw how outdated management systems were holding both people and businesses back,” says Jaakko Hartikainen, co-founder and co-CEO of Agileday. “Professional services firms don’t fail for lack of talent, but because information is fragmented, decision-making is reactive, and people are treated as resources instead of motivated professionals. We built Agileday to change that. By unifying sales, project, and financial data together with people’s skills and interests into one transparent platform, we help companies grow faster while creating the work-life people deserve.”
Agileday currently serves more than 70 professional services companies globally, ranging from fast-growing consultancies to publicly listed enterprises. The company reports 3x year-over-year growth, with particularly strong traction among enterprise customers in North America and Europe, including Apply Digital, Propeller, The Electric Factory, Knowit, Siili Solutions and Eficode.
“Our strong growth shows that Nordic values – trust and radical transparency – are a real competitive advantage for modern companies. When processes serve people, not the other way around, teams deliver better results faster,” says Mikko Virtanen, co-founder and co-CEO of Agileday. “As a Nordic-born company, we’re now challenging global giants in this category, with a 100% win rate in client evaluations across all markets.”
With the new funding, Agileday plans to accelerate product development, deepen its AI capabilities and expand its go-to-market efforts across Europe and North America. The company sees rising demand from professional services firms that are reassessing their operating models as AI reshapes how work is sold, delivered and managed.
“Many professional services firms are currently facing a critical moment of their own transformation journey, and Agileday has developed a product to help prepare them for the future,” says Anton Keller, Associate at Newion. “The founders have lived the challenges of running service companies themselves, and that firsthand experience shows in a product that genuinely addresses real pain points and helps firms reach the next level. With strong product-market fit, an exceptional customer win rate, and rapid international growth, Agileday’s AI-powered platform is well-positioned to scale across Europe and North America.”
As automation and AI continue to redefine the economics of professional services, Agileday is positioning itself as a new-generation operating platform designed not just to optimize utilization and margins, but to future-proof services firms by aligning growth, transparency and people-first leadership.
