Endra, a startup developing an AI-powered platform for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineering design, has raised €3 million in a pre-seed funding round. Investors include Maximilian Viessmann (Vito One), Johan Edenström (Newsec/Stronghold), Simon De Château (Alma Property Partners), the Höglund brothers (Epidemic Sound), and Oljibe Invest. The company aims to streamline traditionally manual and time-consuming workflows in building systems design, an area facing both a skilled labor shortage and increasing sustainability demands. The funding will be used to advance product development, grow the team, and support expansion into the US, UK, and German markets over the next two years.
Led by Niklas Lindgren, Anton Juric, Gustav Hammarlund, and David Rydberg, Endra is a technology startup focused on modernizing the design process for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in buildings. The company has developed an AI-driven platform that automates many of the repetitive, time-consuming tasks traditionally involved in MEP engineering. By using generative artificial intelligence, Endra streamlines workflows such as system layout planning, documentation, and code compliance, significantly reducing the time required for design projects from months to just hours.
Anton Juric, Co-Founder & COO of Endra: “In MEP design, a huge amount of time is still spent on repetitive, low-value tasks. Design & Build firms want to deploy AI to stay competitive, but they have very limited options. We’re enabling them to focus on what really matters, while our platform handles the rest. We’re measuring productivity increases in multiples, not percentages.”
The platform is designed to keep engineers in control of critical design decisions while handling routine work automatically, which helps to address both the labor shortage in the construction sector and the urgent need for more sustainable building practices. With a focus on improving productivity and reducing inefficiencies, Endra aims to contribute to lowering the environmental impact of buildings, which currently account for nearly 30% of global emissions. The company is positioning itself for growth in major international markets, including the US, UK, and Germany.
Niklas Lindgren, Co-Founder & CEO of Endra AI: “In the Endra ecosystem, general contractors and MEP consultants will be able to interface each other seamlessly, in a way never experienced before. Given the interest we have had our first 8 months, Endra is really being set up for solid hyper growth.”
