Stockholm-based Telgea has raised $2.7 million in a round led by Amigos Venture Capital, with participation from Antler, Motivate Ventures, and SSE Ventures. The startup offers a unified mobile telecom platform designed to eliminate the logistical and financial burden of managing mobile operations across multiple countries. With seamless onboarding, one contract, and AI-driven support tools, Telgea replaces fragmented billing, local carrier negotiations, and costly roaming. The fresh capital will fuel Telgea’s rapid expansion—already live in eight markets, the company plans to launch in a new country each month—while further developing its AI automation stack to reduce internal workloads for IT and HR teams. The company has already secured customer agreements representing $1M in ARR.
Telgea is a telecom company that provides a centralized mobile platform for businesses operating across multiple countries. The service allows organizations to manage employee mobile plans through a single contract and interface, avoiding the need for local carrier agreements and roaming charges. Telgea’s platform includes automated onboarding and support features powered by AI, aimed at reducing the administrative load on internal teams. The company currently operates in eight countries and plans to expand further, offering coverage in over 75 markets. Telgea was founded in 2024 by Andreas Åfeldt Franke and Theis Jensen, who both have experience scaling international technology companies.
Global companies spend $800–1,200 per employee each year on mobile for devices, contracts, roaming, and internal admin. For a 10,000-person company, that’s more than $8M annually and a significant operational burden that requires multiple full-time employees.
According to reports, most companies underestimate the true cost of managing mobile operations, including admin, IT support, and software.
Telgea eliminates this complexity with one unified mobile platform. Businesses can onboard employees across countries using a single contract, number, and interface – no roaming, no fragmented billing, no local carrier negotiations.
Since launching in November 2024, Telgea has expanded to eight markets and signed customer agreements representing $1M in ARR.
“When building an international company, it’s all about removing complexity, and with every new country, that complexity grows exponentially. If businesses can reduce or even eliminate the burden of managing mobile contracts across countries, they can free up internal resources and make it significantly easier to scale globally,” says Andreas Åfeldt Franke, co-founder and CEO of Telgea.
Beyond connectivity, Telgea’s AI automates telecom operations, including onboarding and support. Virtual agents handle everything from plan activation to issue resolution, reducing the load on IT and HR.
“Just as Revolut made banking truly borderless, Telgea is breaking down global telecom barriers by fully automating what was once a manual, resource-heavy industry. This is the kind of execution that builds billion-dollar companies,” says David Wieland, founder and managing partner at Motivate Venture Capital.
