IAMA Therapeutics, a biopharma startup that spun off from Genoa’s Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), attracted 15 million euros from Fondo Biotech – Indaco Venture Partners, Fondazione ENEA Tech, Biomedical, Claris Ventures, and CDP Venture Capital (see here a previous post by BeBeez). In March 2022, the company raised 8 million from Claris Ventures and CDP Venture Capital. Laura Cancedda and Marco De Vivo founded the company in 2021. Maria Cristina Porta is the coo of Fondazione Enea Tech and Biomedical. Ciro Spedaliere is a partner of Claris Ventures and chairman of IAMA which will invest the raised proceeds in the next phases of its drug development pipeline. Giovanni Rizzo is a partner of Indaco. Tundr Tech Corporation, a startup that provided ecosystems for corporate welfare, attracted seed resources of 7.2 million euros from lead investor 360 Capital, CDP Venture Capital, Azimut Libera Impresa’s vehicles Azimut Eltif – Venture Capital ALIcrowd III and IV, Vento, Alecla7, Vesper Holding, Jean Canzoneri, Carlo Enrico (who joined the company’s board), and other business angels (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Tundr retained Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici, while 360 Capital hired BonelliErede. In 2022, Jules-Arthur Sastre, Giorgio Seveso, Luca Milesi, and Manuela Ronchi founded Tundr that will invest the raised proceeds in its organic growth. Wsense, a provider of wireless submarine communications technologies, secured a pre-series B round of 7.2 million euros that will support its international growth and attracted the resources of Fincantieri, CDP Venture Capital, SWEN Blue Ocean, RunwayFBU, Axon Partners, and Rypples, a firm for impact investments for the Oceans that Jerome Ternynck co-founded (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Fincantieri supported Wsense with a convertible bond of 2.5 – 5 million. The closing of such round requires the Golden Power authorization of the Italian Government. Italian invoice financing CashMe is interested in acquisitions, Marcello Scalmati, the company’s founder, said to BeBeez without elaborating further (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company cashed invoices worth in the region of one billion euros and has more than 400 active clients.
