Neuromod Devices, an Irish medtech, raised 10 million euros for supporting the sale of Lenire and attracted the resources of Panakès Partners and Fountain Healthcare Partners (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Investors poured a total of 58.6 million in the company since 2011, BeBeez data say. Ross O’Neill, ceo, founded Neuromed in 2010. Manus Rogan is the firm’s chairman and managing partner of Fountain Healthcare Partners. Alessio Beverina is a managing partner of Panakès Partners.
Matix, a spin-off of Italian industrial machinery producer AzzurroDigitale, raised 2.1 million euros in equity and debt (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company attracted the resources of auxiell (which already poured 0.7 million in the business in December 2022), Francesca Coloni, Roberta Parodi, Paolo Tramonti, Alessandro Serafini, Fabio Voltazza, and B-Heroes. The company will invest such proceeds in its proprietary technology. In 2022, further to auxiell, Vincenzo Regazzoni, Francesco Beraldi, Nicola Michelon poured resources in Matix for which Riccardo Pistorello acts as ceo since October 2022. Riccardo Pavanato is the ceo of auxiell.
P101 poured further resources in Spain’s Mundimoto, a platform for purchasing and renting bikes that secured a 21.1 million euros round that also attracted the money of Orilla Asset Management (see here a previous post by BeBeez). This round includes 8.1 million in equity and 13 million of banking facilities from Santander Consumer Finance, Banco Sabadell and La Caixa. In 2023, the company raised 10 million from Orilla, P101, Autotech Ventures, Mutua Madrileña, and other investors. Mundimoto raised a total of 51.1 million since its foundation. Ok Ventures is also an investor in the company that ceo Pepe Talavera founded.
Angelini Ventures led the 10 million euros Series A that German medtech Vantis launched (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Maximilian Rödel, Kevin Wiesner and ceo Till Jansen founded Vantis. BeDimensional raised 2 million euros as part of the 5 million round that lunched in late 2024 (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company attracted the resources of a club deal that InvestorClub launched and that Blu Acquario Prima, Eureka! Venture sgr, ENI Next, and Nova Capital joined. Eversheds Sutherland assisted BeDimensional, an Italian scaleup deeptech for advanced materials that Vittorio Pellegrini, Francesco Bonaccorso and Andrea Gamucci founded in 2016 through a spin-off of the Graphene Labs of the Italian Technology Institute. Vittorio Pellegrini, ceo, said that the company will invest the raised proceeds in its organic development. Lexroom.ai, an AI-based legal tech, said it raised 2 million euros through a round that attracted the resources of lead investor Belgium’s Entourage, a fund that Pieterjan Bouten created, Verve Ventures, Banyan Ventures, Joe Zadeh, club deal X-Equity of which FNDX (a partnership of Milan-listed Azimut and B2B Gellify) is advisor, and Vento Ventures (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Martina Domenicali, Andrea Lonza and ceo Paolo Fois founded Lexroom.ai in 2023. The company will invest such proceeds in hiring furthere developers and in its organic growth. In September 2024, Lexroom.ai signed a partnership with Italian law firm Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici.
Quickfisco, a provider of tax and accountancy services that chairman Nino Rindone, Massimo Pezzini and ceo Gianluca Tirri founded, attracted 1.5 million euros from London’s Albemarle asset management that will invest in its organic growth (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company previously received the resources of Massimo Paolo Gentili and in 2023 raised 0.312 million through an equity crowdfunding campaign that launched on Mamacrowd on the ground of a 2.71 million pre-money value.
Biorsaf, a developer of digital platforms for business operations and risk assessment, attracted 1.4 million euros from Maia Ventures, Farming Future – CDP Venture Capital – ToSeed & Partners and Fondo Toscana Next (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Marco Papalini (ceo), Lorenzo Messana (coo), Dario Carotenuto (cio), and Giuseppe Longhitano (cfo) created Biorsaf which will invest the raised proceeds in its organic development. The European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator supported three Italian startups with more than 30 million euros in equity and grants (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Nanophoria (a biotech in its pre-clinical phase) attracted 2.5 million and 15 million in equity. Startric, an Italian medtech, secured a 2.5 million grant and equity of 8.4 million upon the condition of raising the same amount on the market. Aindo, a developer of a proprietary technology for generating synthetic data, received a grant of 2.1 million while the European Investment Bank could co-invest in the company. EIC Accelerator, part of the programme Horizon Europe, will provide 161 million in grants and equity in the region of 226 million while 79% of the startups will get a mix of both the facilities. Daniele Catalucci, Michele Iafisco, Alessio Alogna, and ceo Claudio De Luca founded NanoPhoria that in 2022 attracted 3.5 million from Sofinnova Partners and other investors. Suman Shirodkar is the company’s chairman while Lucia Faccio is a partner of Sofinnova Partners. Eugenio Passanante and Francesco Napolitano, Ottavio Alfieri, and Michele De Bonis are the founders of StarTric. Daniele Panfilo (ceo) and Sebastiano Saccani (Head of R&D) founded Aindo in 2018.
Exor Ventures (John Elkann chairman) aims to raise 75 million euros for Vento and carrying on 375 investments in the next five years (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Vento is a partnership that Exor signed with Talent Garden, Ogr Torino and Compagnia di San Paolo for investing tickets of 0.150 million in early-stage deals and up to 1 million in follow-ons. Diyala D’Aveni is the ceo of Vento.
Cyber Guru, an Italian Security Awareness Training scaleup, said it acquired Frenche competitor Mantra for undisclosed terms (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The target’s ceo Gaspard Droz will act as France managing director for the new entity, while cto Guillaume Charhon will act as Group Chief Architect. OneRagTime, Bpifrance, Axeleo Capital, Laurent Hausermann, Benjamin Fabre, and François Wyss which in 2021 invested 1.6 million in Mantra will exit the business. Gianni Baroni is the ceo of Cyber Guru.
Next4 said it acquired Heres, an Italian developer of AI conversational agents and provider of generative solutions, from the founder Andrea Gabrielli (57%), Matteo Ligabue (38%) and Anna Maria Gentile (5%) (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The target has sales of 0.523 million euros, an ebitda of minus 0.175 million, equity of minus 0.023 million and debts in the region of 0.2 million. Davide D’Arcangelo is the ceo of Next4.
