Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Mercedes-Benz on the cooperation agreement for its strategic partnership with energy company E.ON for the establishment and operation of the new Europe-wide Mercedes-Benz charging network, which enables fast, safe and environmentally friendly charging of electric vehicles.
The first German charging hub was recently inaugurated in Mannheim, in the Rhine-Main-Neckar region, one of the most important transport corridors in Germany. The White & Case team that advised the internal legal department of Mercedes-Benz on the transaction was led by partner Matthias Kiesewetter (Hamburg) and included partners Thomas Burmeister (Düsseldorf), Florian Degenhardt, Martin Munz (both Hamburg), Bodo Bender (Frankfurt), Brice Engel and Jean Paszkudzki (both Paris), local partners Moritz Müller-Buttmann (Hamburg) and Sandra D’Ascenzo (Frankfurt), counsel Alexander Born (Frankfurt) and associates Thorsten Eggert (Hamburg), Petra Kistner (Düsseldorf), Gregoire Baudry (Paris) and Robert Bente (Hamburg).
