Italy’s Miko srl, a producer of interior fabrics for cars, has been acquired by US private equity-backed Sage Automotive Interiors for an undisclosed sum.
Headquartered in Gorizia (Norhtern Italy) and founded in 1997, Miko is controlled by the Terraneo family and is led by ceo Lorenzo Terraneo. Miko makes non-woven fabrics and is specialized in a product called Dinamica, a microfiber fabric made from recycled products and mainly used for car coverings.
Headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, Sage Automotive makes cloth for the seating, doors and panels of cars and has been bought out last October by US private equity firm Clearlake Capital Group from Gores Group, a leading Los Angeles-based investment firm (see here the press release).
