Italian traveltech scaleup WeRoad attracted 58 million US Dollars from Airbnb (leading investor), H14 (the family office of Luigi Berlusconi, Eleonora Berlusconi and Barbara Berlusconi that led the 2023 18 million euros Series B round), Boost Heroes, and Fidim, the Rovati Family’s holding (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Russo De Rosa advised WeRoad that will invest such proceeds in its expansion in USA. Airbnb hired Latham & Watkins while H14 appointed Chiomenti. WeRoad raised a total of 100 million euros since Paolo De Nadai, Fabio Bin (Chief Marketing Officer) and Erika De Santi (Chief of Experience) founded it in 2017. Italian fintech DeepTree, a provider of AI-based proprietary intelligence for private markets in support of financial investors and advisors that Lorenzo Ferretti (ceo) and Claudio Arione (cto) founded in 2024, attracted 2 million euros from Digital Transition – PNRR, part of CDP Venture Capital, and others (see here a previous post by BeBeez). US AI unicorn Anthropic, a firm that siblings Dario Amodei and Daniela Amodei founded with Chris Olah, said it will open a bureau in Milan that Thomas Remy, Head of Southern Europe, will lead (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Chris Ciauri is Anthropic managing director international.
