Vilnius-based SME lender Finbee has secured an additional €20 million from private capital asset manager Pollen Street Capital, increasing its senior secured credit facility from €35 million to €55 million. The expanded facility will enable the Vilnius-based company to increase its maximum loan size from €250,000 to €800,000, offer longer repayment terms and improve pricing for small and medium-sized businesses in Lithuania. The funding builds on a partnership established in July 2024 and will help Finbee Verslui expand its lending to larger SMEs and businesses seeking working capital, as tighter bank lending conditions continue to constrain access to finance. Since its launch in 2017, the company has originated more than €180 million in loans to over 4,000 businesses.
Founded in 2017, Finbee Verslui provides working capital loans to small and medium-sized businesses in Lithuania. It uses proprietary credit models and a digital application process to assess loan applications and provide financing of up to €800,000. The company has originated more than €180 million in loans to over 4,000 businesses.
Tomas Mačiulaitis, CEO of Finbee Verslui, said: “Pollen Street’s renewed commitment is a strong endorsement of our team, our credit performance and the Lithuanian SME market. Since 2024, Pollen Street’s investment has let us fund businesses within hours rather than days. Increasing it to €55 million means we can say yes to more entrepreneurs who need working capital to grow and support our existing customers as their needs get bigger.”
The increased financing facility will allow Finbee Verslui to serve businesses with greater borrowing needs by raising its maximum loan amount from €250,000 to €800,000. The company will also be able to offer longer loan terms and more favourable pricing, extending its reach to larger small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The partnership with Pollen Street Capital began in July 2024, providing Finbee Verslui with funding to expand its lending operations. According to the company, the investment has enabled it to provide financing to businesses within hours rather than days.
Paul Varty, Investment Director at Pollen Street, said: “We are pleased to increase our facility to Finbee Verslui and to continue our partnership. Finbee Verslui is a well-run business with a disciplined approach to lending and a high-quality, granular loan book. Through this partnership our funding helps Finbee to support more great small businesses.”
The latest expansion comes as European SMEs continue to face challenges accessing bank financing. The European Central Bank’s Survey on the Access to Finance of Enterprises, published in July 2026, found that bank loan availability declined for SMEs in the second quarter, while conditions improved for larger companies.
The net percentage of SMEs reporting a widening bank loan financing gap rose to 5%, up from 3% previously. Meanwhile, a net 43% of SMEs reported higher bank loan interest rates, highlighting the financing challenges facing smaller businesses.
Finbee Verslui focuses on this segment by offering digitally processed working capital loans to Lithuanian companies.
Finbee Verslui has originated more than €180 million in loans through over 6,000 individual loans since its launch. The financing has reached more than 4,000 businesses, with the company originating over €40 million in new loans in 2025 alone.
Pollen Street Capital, established in 2013, manages more than €9 billion in assets across private equity and credit strategies. The firm invests in financial and business services and works with institutional investors, including pension funds, insurers and sovereign wealth funds.
The expanded facility gives Finbee Verslui additional lending capacity as it seeks to serve a broader range of Lithuanian SMEs, including businesses requiring larger loans than the company previously offered.
