Legrand has acquired two companies to expand its data center offerings.
The industrial firm this week announced two data center-related acquisitions, one in the UK and one in China. Terms were not shared.
In China, Legrand has acquired Keydak, a rack manufacturer based in Guangzhou. The company employs more than 330 people and generates annual revenue of more than €60 million ($69.6m).
In the UK, Legrand has acquired TES, a European specialist in power distribution systems, with more than half of its revenue derived from data centers. Based in Cookstown, the company employs 280 people and generates close to €85 million ($98.6m) in annual revenue.
Legrand said the deals were part of its “active bolt-on acquisition strategy.”
Benoît Coquart, Legrand’s CEO, said: “These two new transactions strengthen our positions in the datacenter market, both in compute infrastructure (around the chip) and in critical power. With these announcements, a total of four acquisitions have been announced this year, all in data centers, which accounted for 26 percent of our revenue at the end of 2025. Together, these acquisitions represent around €285 million ($330.7m) in additional annual revenue and reflect the consistent execution of our strategic roadmap towards 2030.”
TES offers LV switchgear, modular electrical rooms, and busduct systems. In its own announcement, the company said it will continue to operate from its existing facilities in Cookstown and Derry, Northern Ireland.
Brian Taylor, CEO of TES, said: “Joining Legrand is a landmark moment for TES. Over the past number of years, we have scaled our operations at an incredible pace, and this acquisition is a testament to the hard work and expertise of our entire team. Legrand’s global reach and market-leading position in the electrical sector provide the perfect platform for TES to further expand our international presence. We are excited to bring our bespoke engineering solutions to a wider audience while remaining deeply committed to our roots in Northern Ireland.”
Legrand is an industrial group headquartered in Limoges, France. The company currently operates in 90 countries, with its offerings including electrical equipment and digital building infrastructure.
The company said it had completed some 30 data center-centric acquisitions to date.
This year has seen the firm acquire Brazilian data center services firm Green4T and Kratos Industries, a US provider of low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems primarily serving data centers.
Legrand acquired five companies in the data center segment in 2024, including Canadian busbar company Power Bus Way, Netrack in India, Davenham in Ireland, Vass in Australia, and UPSistemas in Colombia. Last year saw Legrand acquire CRS, busbar firms Linkk Busway Systems and Amperio, Portuguese distribution board company Quitérios, and load bank provider Avtron.
Legrand also recently participated in two-phase direct-to-chip liquid cooling firm Accelsius’ Series B investment round.
