Stockholm-based IPercept has raised €5 million in a round led by Luminar Ventures, with participation from, RunwayFBU, Backstage Invest AB, and AI.FUND, and existing investor J12. The Stockholm-based company provides a predictive AI platform for manufacturers, enabling machine monitoring and diagnostics without requiring system integration or infrastructure changes. Originating from research at the Royal Institute of Technology, IPercept’s patented technology addresses productivity losses tied to machine downtime and workforce shortages. The new funding will be used to expand into additional European markets, support customer deployment at scale, and grow the team to meet increasing operational demands.

Unlike conventional systems that demand expensive integration and specialist installation, IPercept’s solution slips seamlessly into manufacturers’ operations—monitoring machine health without tampering with existing infrastructure. Born out of half a decade of research at the Royal Institute of Technology, the startup’s patented approach is already in use by over a dozen major European manufacturers, offering them a way to boost uptime and cut quality losses without overwhelming their overstretched teams.

With Europe’s manufacturing sector bleeding billions annually to inefficiencies and an aging workforce, IPercept is positioning itself as both a technological enabler and a workforce ally. The new funds will power its expansion into high-density industrial zones, deepen its AI capabilities, and scale deployments to match surging demand.

IPercept is a Stockholm-based industrial AI company that emerged from a research project at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where Karoly Szipka and Professor Andreas Archenti sought to address persistent performance issues in CNC machines. The team developed a method to automatically assess machine condition without interfering with production or requiring complex integration. This technical foundation led to the creation of a predictive maintenance platform that allows manufacturers to monitor machine health using non-invasive data collection. IPercept’s approach reflects a focus on practical implementation, emphasizing usability for production teams, long-term operational efficiency, and adaptability in existing factory environments. The company continues to build on its research roots with a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, technical resilience, and sustainable system design.

“The team at IPercept has shown exceptional vision and execution. Their predictive AI platform is set to play a crucial role in reshaping industrial machine efficiency, and we are excited to support them as they scale,” says Magnus Bergman, Founding Partner at Luminar Ventures.

Since IPercept’s commercial debut in 2022, the company has quickly gained traction, providing its predictive maintenance solution to some of Europe’s largest manufacturers. The platform’s ability to seamlessly integrate into existing systems with minimal setup has helped IPercept achieve a perfect customer retention rate. With the recent funding, the company plans to accelerate its growth by expanding into more European manufacturing centers, increasing the number of customer deployments, and hiring additional team members to meet the growing demand for its technology.

“We’re building applied AI to enable the true change-makers of industry – the people on the factory floor. Europe remains a manufacturing powerhouse, yet we continue to lose value by under utilizing the resources we already have. The AI revolution came at exactly the right time for IPercept: with our unique operational data stream and curated domain knowledge, we’re turning untapped potential into new levels of efficiency,” says Karoly Szipka, Founder & CEO of IPercept.
