Spain’s medical scaleup deepull, a developer of cultivation-free diagnostic solutions for the rapid identification of pathogens, sepsis and acute infections, secured a Series C round of 50 million euros that Italian Panakès Partners, Columbus Venture Partners and Mérieux Equity Partners co-led (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company also attracted the resources of existing investors Asabys Partners, Innvierte-CDTI, We Venture Capital, UI Investissement, Axis-ICO, Aliath Bioventures, and Kurma Partners. The company will invest the proceeds of the Series C round for finalising the clinical validation and accelerate the regulatory approval process of the UllCORE diagnostic system. Jordi Carrera is deepull ceo. Alessio Piuma is a principal of Panakès Partners. Jose Mesa is the cio of Columbus Venture Partners. Valérie Calenda is a managing partner of Mérieux Equity Partners.
MgShell, an Italian medtech startup, raised 1.14 million euros from Capital Cell, Andrea Giani, Club degli Investitori- Simon Fiduciaria, Italian Angels for Biotech, Lucio Rovati, and Bios Line Holding (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company will invest such proceeds in its proprietary technology and organic firm. Marco Ferroni is the ceo of MgShell. Daniel Oliver is the coo of Capital Cell. Enrico Gianotti is a board member of MgShell and Champion of Club degli Investitor. Federica Girolami is a Champion of Italian Angels for Biotech. Paolo Tramonti is the ceo of Bios Line Holding.
GDA Impact, an above 60 million euros impact investing vehicle that GDA Venture manages on behalf of Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore and Fondazione Cariplo, said it poured 0.5 million in Phitrust Partenaires Inclusion, a French competitor that Phitrust launched in 2023 and attracted the resources of anchor investor European Investment Fund (EIF) – InvestEU (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Phitrust Partenaires Inclusion raised a total of 50.8 million and targets impact investments in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Belgium. Cyrille Langendorff is a partner of Phitrust Partenaires Inclusion. Marco Gerevini is the ceo of Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore.
Milan-listed Vivenda Group, an advertising concessionaire active in out-of-home advertising, acquired 40% of Selfiestreet, a startup competitor, as new cofounder (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Michele Cascavilla and Peruzzo Multimedia Company diluted their ownership in the target which attracted an investment of 4000 euros which also includes any credit rights claimed by shareholders, trademarks, SIAE registrations, equipment and company furnishings. Luca Maurogiovanni is the chairman of Vivenda which has sales of 13.1 million euros, an adjusted ebitda of 0.62 million and a net financial debt of 6.3 million.
Alternative Capital Partners (ACP), an ESG investor in private credit and enrgy infrastructures, signed a partnership with Step Venture, an EuVECA (European Venture Capital Fund) (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Michele Novelli, Roberto Montandon, Gennaro Tesone, and Maria Imbesi are the founders of Step Venture.
