The iconic Italian fashion brand that belongs to FSI, will develop the residential and tourism project with Norfin Sgoic, a Portuguese real estate player
Missoni Real Estate, a division of the iconic Italian fashion firm that belongs to the eponymous Family (58.79%) and FSI (41.21%) (see here a previous post by BeBeez), is going to start in 3Q25 the development of Aroeira Collections by Missoni, a Portuguese residential and tourism project with a 200 million euros worth investment (Linkedin post).
Portuguese real estate player Norfin Sgoic, a firm that has aum of 1.5 billion, will be Missoni’s partner for developing the project in a 350-hectare area close to Lisbon, on the southern shore of the Costa da Caparica. The project’s fulcrum Aroeira Collections Hotel will have 138 one and two-bedrooms suites, 40 two- and three-room residential flats, 24 two- to four-bedroom houses and 28 villas with three- to five-bedroom configurations, Missoni said and added: “Aroeira Collections by Missoni redefines the concept of a luxury residence with a unique fusion of fashion, design and architecture, that Alberto Caliri and the famous Portuguese architects Ana Costa, João Favila Meneses and Pedro Domingos designed. They designed everything with profound respect for the natural environment, enhancing the play of light and shadow and ensuring the harmonious integration of the dwellings into the landscape. The interiors will feature the iconic patterns and vibrant colours of Missoni, combined with timeless elegance, with a homage to Portuguese design thanks to the recovery of furniture by Atelier Daciano da Costa“.
Caliri, creative director of Missoni since October 2024, added “Bringing the Missoni aesthetic to life in a living space was an exciting challenge. We wanted to create an environment that embodied the distinctive artistry of our brand while maintaining a connection with the surrounding nature.”
The golf course that UK architect Frank Pennink projected is also part of the project. Such a structure hosted Portugal Open Goulf Tournament in 1996 and 1997 and is part of the PGA.
In December 2023, Pambianco News quoted Livio Proli, the ceo of Missoni, as saying that real estate is one of the most satisfactory non-fashion activities for the firm. The Italian fashion company and RMA Holding previously developed Montes by Missoni in Turkey; Toronto’s Missoni Sky in collaboration with Amexon Development Corporation; UAE-based Moonstone, Interiors by Missoni, with the support of Durar Group e Fortune 5; a residential project in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with the local developer Gafisa; Spain’s Marea, Interiors by Missoni, with Dar Global; and Miami’s Missoni Baia with Oko Group. Missoni also took care of the furnishing of Dubai’s Urban Oasis, a tower that Dar Global built.
