Coima ESG City Impact, a vehicle that Coima manages, raised above 900 million euros and launched a capital increase ahead of next 300 million closing, ceo Manfredi Catella reportedly said (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Coima also created the 150 million fund Villaggio Olimpico for building an athletes village for Milan – Cortina Winter Olympics 2026. After the event, the assets will convert into Students Houses. Intesa SanPaolo provided a 250 million sustainability-linked loan for the development of this project.
Cisalfa Sport, an Italian retailer of sportsweare, acquired insolvent German competitor SportScheck from bankrupted Austrian real estate investor Signa (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Cisalfa signed an agreement with insolvency administrator Axel Bierbach for acquiring SportScheck. The German antitrust authority should provide its authorization by the end of April 2024. Cisalfa Sport retained Legance, Noerr, Alvarez & Marsal, and Clearwater. Bierbach hired McDermott Will & Emery, Wieselhuber and AT Kearney.
