The next Italian edition of the Zero One Hundred Conference, Europe’s leading event dedicated to venture capital and private equity (see the press release here) and of which BeBeez will be media partner, will take place in Milan from 28 to 30 October at the headquarters of Borsa Italiana at Palazzo Mezzanotte. Following the success of the first edition last October in Rome, of which BeBeez was also media partner in that case (see here a previous articole by BeBeez International).
The event is coming to Milan thanks to a joint venture between the Milan City Council’s Economic Development Department and Milano&Partners, the official agency of the City of Milan created by the City Council and the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza Lodi to attract tourism, talent and investment to the city, which together led the negotiations to bring to the Lombard capital the event that has hosted over 11. 500 delegates, including at least 6,000 investors, and which has visited many European cities including Amsterdam, Berlin, Luxembourg, Dublin, Copenhagen, Vienna, Prague, Tallinn, Limassol and Bratislava.
After the edition held in Rome in 2023, aimed in particular at the ecosystem of private capital in Southern Europe, for 2024 the Zero One Hundred Conferences format will therefore land for the first time in Milan, the Italian capital of innovation, cradle of entrepreneurial ideas that can be transformed into business, as demonstrated by the photograph of the city’s ecosystem of innovation returned by the  YesMilano Innovation Map,
an online open-access resource recently launched by Milano&Partners and developed on the technological infrastructure of dealroom.co, which indicates the presence of 2,740 innovative start-ups (20% of the Italian total), 174 active venture capitalists and 1,695 funding rounds opened since 2010. Milan is also the Italian leader in terms of European patents filed, which in 2022 in the metropolitan city of Milan are 726 out of 4,773 in Italy as a whole (15.2%), according to Unioncamere – Dintec elaborations on EPO data.
