Global law firm White & Case LLP has promoted 23 lawyers to local partner and 22 lawyers to counsel.

In addition to the internal promotions, White & Case has hired two local partners and 14 counsel during 2023 to date.
At White & Case, the position of local partner is offered in select regions and locations where it is common market practice including Mexico in the Americas; Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, the Middle East, Poland, South Africa and Spain in EMEA; and China, Japan and Korea in Asia-Pacific. It is a recognized career step toward admission into Firm partnership.
The role of counsel is for senior lawyers with significant experience in a particular practice area. The title is used across White & Case, in all offices, usually as an alternative career path to partnership.

Jason Burgoyne
Jason Burgoyne has been named counsel in our International Trade Practice. Based in Washington, DC, his practice focuses on advising clients on complex regulatory matters arising under the jurisdiction of the US Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), the US Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) and the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Yuriria Galicia
Yuriria Galicia has been named a local partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. Based in Mexico City, her practice focuses on advising energy, telecommunications, transport, financial institution and government clients on constitutional and administrative litigation, and antitrust matters.
Danielle Herrick
Danielle Herrick has been named Professional Support Counsel in our Public Company Advisory Practice. Jennifer Ivers
Jennifer Ivers has been named counsel in our Global International Arbitration Practice. Based in Washington, DC, her practice focuses on advising sovereigns and private investors on international disputes, acting as counsel in a variety of arbitrations including ICSID and ICC, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
Ron Kendler
Ron Kendler has been named counsel in our International Trade Practice. Based in Washington, DC, his practice focuses on advising clients in a range of sectors including manufacturing, energy and agriculture on antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before the US Department of Commerce and US International Trade Commission, appeals to the US Court of International Trade (CIT) and US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) and the law of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
