Habyt (fka Projects Co-Living), a Berlin-based proptech that Luca Bovone and Giorgio Ciancaleoni founded and that earlier in January merged with Common after having signed a deal with Asian-Pacific competitor Hmlet in April 2022, raised 40 million euros (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Korelya Capital and Deutsche Invest led the round that also attracted the resources of Exor Ventures, the venture capital unit of Milan-listed Exor, Endeavor Catalyst, P101, HV Capital, Vorwerk Ventures, Norwest, Kinnevik, Burda Principal Investments, and Inveready. After such a transaction, the three companies that merged for creating Habyt raised a total of 150 million US Dollars.
Sources said to BeBeez that Intesa SanPaolo invested less than 30 million euros in SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies Corp), the aerospace company that Elon Musk founded in 2022 (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The sources said that the Italian bank aims to be a relevant player in the aerospace economy. Crunchbase reported that Intesa Sanpaolo joined a debt financing round of SpaceX that since its birth raised 9.8 billion US Dollars (9,256 billion euros) from 85 investors that include Water and Electricity Holding Company and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
Vaultik, a provider of blockchain-based anti-counterfeiting services for the luxury sector that Pietro Novelli and Kunaal Chande founded in 2022, raised 2.5 million US Dollars (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The Operating Group led the round.
The Circle, an Italian vertical farm start up raised 2.1 million euros from Opes Italia, an Italian impact investing fund, and Sparviero Holding (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Studio Legale Di Cecco e Associati assisted The Circle while Opes Italia retained VBGA – Studio Legale Associato.
SICI (Sviluppo Imprese Centro Italia) invested 0.552 million euros in BugsLife and 0.6 million in Pambuffetti Automobili (see here a previous post by BeBeez). BugsLife, an Italian producer of organic feeds and fertilisers that Caterina Luppa and Giacomo Zeni founded in 2019, also attracted the resources of Samuele Mazzini, Matteo Minelli, Raffaele Bruni, and Paolo Frigati. Vittorio Gabbanini is the chairman of SICI. Pambuffetti Automobili, an Italian tailor-maed luxury car that Juri Pambuffetti created in 2018, also attracted the resources of Silvio Campigli and sold a 5% to SICI. The company also belongs to Simona Spitella (65%), Fabrizio Ippoliti (7%), Attilio Mattioli (6%), Silvio Campigli (5%), and further minority owners.
Italy’s eWibe, a live market for high-end wines, raised 0.700 million euros through the issuance of hybrid instruments (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company attracted 0.45 million from Paolo Berlusconi, Alberto Gennarini, Diego Palano, Mattia Riva, iNSquared, and other investors. Bonsai Ventures, an investment holding that Michele Padovani founded, poured 0.25 million in the business that Edoardo Maria Lamacchia created in 2022.
