UK-based The Access Group, a business management software provider, announced that it has acquired Singapore-based Diversely, an inclusive recruitment solution that uses data and analytics to help staffing firms improve diversity.
The acquisition follows the series of acquisitions by The Access Group in 2022. It has acquired Vincere, a recruitment operating system, and FastTrack360, a SaaS pay and bill solution.
This acquisition is a significant development in the diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) space. Diversely is the first technology platform to be acquired by a larger technology group, representing the growing importance of DE&I in the workplace.
Aim of the acquisition
Through this acquisition, Access Recruitment, a division of The Access Group, will be able to offer its customers a more comprehensive suite on its website, Access Volcanic. The website will allow agencies to measure, track, and improve diversity.
It will also serve as a recruitment solution to help them win new business, stay compliant, and attract a broader candidate pool.
The platform will also offer the tools to attract candidates and shortlist applications using a fully inclusive process, including DE&I reporting, bias-free recruitment and improved pipeline diversity, for agencies across the globe.
“Our acquisition of the award-winning Diversely suite enables our recruitment agency customers to address their clients’ DE&I needs like never before,” says Christian Fleck, Managing Director of Access Recruitment.
“DE&I is one of the mega-trends of our generation, and the power of Diversely’s data and analytics embedded in Access Recruitment’s Volcanic website and CRM platforms, including Vincere will allow recruitment agencies to deliver an inclusive candidate journey, increase client satisfaction and win more business,” adds Fleck.
The integration with Volcanic’s recruitment platform is set to be completed in early 2024, with the tools first being embedded in Volcanic’s platform and then in Access Vincere in the summer of 2024. Diversely’s features will also be connected with other CRMs to ensure a seamless candidate journey.
Strategic reason behind Diversely acquisition
Recruitment agencies are under increasing scrutiny from clients, candidates, and governments to prioritise DE&I in their practices. This is even more highlighted with the introduction of gender pay gap reporting. Recruiters now need to be able to demonstrate the diversity of their candidate pool.
This is where Diversely plays a crucial part. Established in 2020 by Helen McGuire and Hayley Bakker, Diversely stands out with its capacity to monitor eight facets of diversity while maintaining global compliance. The acquisition will help businesses and companies increase workplace diversity at a faster speed and bigger scale than before.
“Since coming together as co-founders in 2020, Hayley and I have worked relentlessly with our talented teams to create, educate on and grow an effective, efficient, data-driven way to ensure inclusive hiring practices are a part of day-to-day processes for recruitment organisations,” says Helen McGuire, CEO and co-founder of Diversely.
Diversely has served clients worldwide in both the in-house and recruitment sectors. The platform has received multiple awards, the most recent being the DE&I Solution of the Year award at the UK’s TIARA Tech Star Awards in June 2023.
