Italian Business Angels Network Club degli Investitori and Italian Angels for Biotech (IAB) signed a strategic alliance for co-investments in the sectors of biotech, medtech and health care (see here a previous post by BeBeez). In 2018, CdI and IAB invested in Metis Precision Medicine. Giancarlo Rocchietti is the chairman and founder of CdI. Luca Benatti is the chairman and founder of IAB and the ceo of Erydel.
Roberto Ghilardini launched the Italian lending crowdfunding platform Investimento Digitale (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Italian SMEs may borrow 0.05 – 2.5 million euros through campaigns on ID aimed at financing development projects (not debt refinancing, losses and taxes). The tenure of such loans is of 6 – 48 months. ID is the payment agent of French Lemon Way. Ghilardini said that the platform has a strict proprietary credit rating model while investment tickets can be of at least 250 euros. Franzini, a commodities supplier for the concrete producers, launched a campaign on Investimento Digitale for raising 0.27 million for purchasing two sweeper machines. Efficient Farm Engineering, an animal husbandry firm, aims to raise 0.213 million for developing and market a compressed air motor for energy efficiency in milking plants. Both loans have a 37-months tenure and pay an annual rate of 8%. Ghilardini founded ID in August 2021.
Compagnia Padana per Investimenti (CPI) signed an agreement with Milan-listed LVenture Group for investing 2 million euros (0.55 euros per share) in the company through the subscription of a capital increase (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Aldo Bassetti founded CPI in 1952 for carrying on long-term investment in innovative industrial projects.
