Last week Italian angel investors and venture capital funds took a breath in their activity and just one news was announced.
Sofinnova Telethon, the venture capital fund which has a focus on startups developing drugs and therapies for rare diseases, raised 80 million of euros ahead of a target of 100 million (see here a previous post by BeBeez). French firm Sofinnova launched the fund together with Italian charity Telethon. The European Investment Fund and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti were anchor investors in the fund having committed 40 million euros out of 200 million euros of the ITATech platform. The European Investment Bank also invested 10 million euros.  Lucia Faccio and Paola Pozzi will manage the fund.
