Further to the usual sectors, Italian Angel investors look at thousand-years old agricultural traditions which attract the interest of footballers as well.
Principia sgr will invest 7 million of euros in the capital increase of Comftech, an Italian scaleup that developed a proprietary technology for wereable medical devices (see here a previous post by BeBeez). In 2010, Giuseppe Andreoni, Alessia Moltani (ceo), and Luca Orlandi, founded Comftech, a spin-off of Milan Polytechnic University that received support fromBusiness Development Accelerator programme of EIT Ict Labs. The company will invest these resources in developing its business in Europe and Usa.
Revoilution, an Italian startup that developed a proprietary technology for producing fresh olive oil at home, overachieved by 522% its crowdfunding target (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company launched its campaign on Mamacrowd, an Italian equity crowdfunding platform, and raised 0.437 million of euros. Italian footballers Ciro Immobile and Antonio Nocerino invested in the company and shared the news on their Instagram profiles. Antonio Pagliaro is the ceo and founder of Revoilution will invest the proceeds of this crowdfunding campaign and 0.45 million that previously raised from business angels and two grants in shortening the time to market of its products.
