Amundi Private Equity Funds acquired a 31% stake in Sonica srl, a new company that Palladio Holding founded last May in order to buy a 30% stake in RCF Group, an international leader in projecting, producing and selling products and systems for professional and public venues audio through its brands RCF and dB Technologies (see here a previous post by BeBeez). This is the first investment in Italy for Amundi’s private equity division.
Clifford Chance and Orsingher Ortu law firms supported Amundi Private Equity Funds and Palladio Holding, respectively, in the deal.
RCF Group reached 118 million euros in revenues in 2016 and a 22 million euros ebitda. The company sells about 80% of its production abroad in more than 120 countries. RCF used to be listed at the Italian Stock Exchange and was delisted in April 2013 after a takeover by Tremmea srl, an holding company owned by the management.
