Motorsport.com, a division of the Motorsport Network, the most read sport digital platform in the world, announced the company has acquired a majority interest in Interactive Project, a leading developer of motorsports-based gaming based in Italy (see here the press release).
Founded in 2011, Interactive Project is a leading European-based online and mobile game develop company but its video-games are a success also in China and Brazil. Interactive Project has produced such popular titles as MyGPTeam, MyGPTeam Turbo, OverVolt and more.

Through Motorsport.com’s unique market position, we will be able to speed up the growth and development of our motorsport related games that we are going to launch worldwide in the coming months.”
Interactive Project was incubated by Luiss Enlabs, a startup acceletator born as a joint-venture between Italy’s venture capital firm LVenture Group and Luiss University in Rome. The company was also sponsored by the local incubator Lazio Innova. In Aprile 2014 LVenture Group and Finanziaria laziale di sviluppo -Filas (an investment company controlled by the Region of Lazio) invested again in the company, after having invested 400k euros in a first round in December 2012 together with business angel Stefano Pighini, LVenture’s chairman (see here a previous post by BeBeez).
