Italian venture capital firm United Ventures led a 2 million dollars investment round in Faceit, a British growing competitive gaming platform founded in 2012 by Italians Niccolo Maisto, Alessandro Avallone and Michele Attisani (see here the press release).
Faceit counts 1.5 million registred users, 2 million unique users per month and a total of 5 million game sessions per month. The platform offers players structured competitions such as online tournaments as well as daily, weekly and monthly leagues. In addition to regular gaming sessions, the FACEIT Media division produces some of the most viewed eSports events in the world, reaching over 2 million viewers per month and gathering over 500,000 followers on Twitch.tv
