Italian environmental investment house Ambienta sgr, cofounded by the managing partner Nino Tronchetti Provera, appointed Nico Helling as a partner in Germany. Helling will lead Ambienta’s operations in the German-speaking region (download here the press release).
Helling has close to 20 years’ experience in private equity and joins from Vorndran Mannheims Capital Advisors, a European midmarket fund, where he was a partner. Prior to this Helling spent 10 years at Montagu Private Equity, where he was responsible for Montagu’s investment business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as Poland and Eastern Europe.
Ambienta also promoted Francesco Lodrini and Giancarlo Beraudo to principal, each following a successful four years at the firm. The appointments follow the recent closing of Ambienta’s second private equity fund, which raised 323.5 million euros from a wide range of blue chip institutions globally and overtook the 300 million euros target (see here a previous post by BeBeez).
