Supermercato24.it, an Italy-based grocery delivery service that allows consumers to choose products from their favorite grocery chains, order them online, and pay cash at the time of delivery, raised 155k euros in seed financing from many Italian business angels who evaluated the entire company around 1.65 million euros.
Investors include some members of business angel network Custodi di Successo; WIshDays‘s founders Andrea Dusi, Cristina Pozzi and Simone Zanollo; CharityStars‘ ceo, Francesco Fusetti; Nextone Media‘s founder and ceo Massimiliano Squillace; CercoLavoro.com and Genoa Talent Garden‘s founder Francesco Lato.
Supermercato24.it has been founded and led by Enrico Pandian (who is founder and ceo of PrezziPazzi and Matura.it and angel investor in Mattermark), and co-founded by Nicola Armellini e Daniele Sandri. The startup company has been launched last September in Verona and as far as L’Arena daily newspaper is concerned (see here the article), the service is now available in the provinces of Verona, Monza, Bergamo, Brescia, Vicenza, Padua, Venice and Treviso, it will be available in other 40 cities by the end of January, will reach 58 provinces by the end of February and will reach London next September.

Backers in the round, which valued the company at €1.65m, included members of Custodi di Successo, a group of business angels, Andrea Dusi, Cristina Pozzi, Simone Zanollo, founders of Wish Days, Francesco Fusetti, CEO of CharityStars, Massimiliano Squillace, founder and CEO of Nextone Media, and Francesco Lato, founder of CercoLavoro.com and Talent Garden Genova.
The company intends to use the funds to expand in new cities across Italy.

Launched in Verona in September 2014, the service is now present in 8 provinces and aims to expand to 21 within the end of January and 58 provinces by the end of March 2015.
