Italian private equity operator Dgpa sgr sold Italy’s natural cosmetic producer Planters to France’s investment company Investcosmetica,  MF-Milano Finanza writes today. Investcosmetic is a new bord holding company controlled by private and institutional investors aiming at creating a portfolio of cosmetic brands which intends to list on Paris Euronext’s Alternext market by next April.
In 2013 Dgpa fund acquired a 33% stake in Planters’ capital from its founder Marco Vernazza reaching then the full control of the company with a 100% stake. Both Dgpa and Vernazza in 2010 subscribed a capital increase in Planters inorder to finance the acquisition of French distributor M3G. In 2014 Planters reached 10 million euros in revenues in Italy and other 2 millions in France.
