Oslo-based fintech Neonomics has secured $4 million in new funding from existing shareholders to support its next phase of growth following a strategic refocus that reduced its operating cost base by nearly 50%. The company provides open finance infrastructure, including financial data access, data intelligence, verification and payment services, helping businesses build financial products and streamline workflows. The funding will support further business expansion, continued growth in open banking payments and the development of higher-value financial data services.
Neonomics is an open finance technology company that provides financial data access, data processing, verification and payment infrastructure to businesses across Europe. Licensed by the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority and authorised to operate across the EU, the company helps businesses connect with financial institutions and integrate financial data and account-to-account payments into their products and services.
“We have fundamentally strengthened Neonomics, creating a more focused and efficient business with a clear direction for growth,” says Alfonso Muñoz, CEO of Neonomics. “The combination of a significantly improved cost structure, growing customer demand and continued shareholder support puts us in a strong position to execute on our strategy.”
Neonomics said the new funding follows a restructuring that reduced its operating cost base by almost 50%, while maintaining its existing customer base and service quality. The company has also adjusted its commercial focus and strengthened its team as it pursues new growth opportunities.
“Providing access to financial data is only the starting point,” adds Muñoz. “The real value lies in turning that data into intelligence that improves financial products, workflows and decisions. We see significant potential here alongside the continued growth of our payments business.”
Since the beginning of 2026, new customer acquisition has increased by more than 60%, according to the company. Growth has come from both its payments and financial data businesses, with opportunities emerging in consumer financial services, personal finance, accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
Neonomics continues to develop its open banking payments business while exploring additional applications for its financial data infrastructure. The company sees potential in helping businesses move beyond accessing financial data to structuring, enriching and interpreting it for use in financial products, operational workflows and decision-making.
The $4 million investment will support the company’s efforts to scale its business and pursue these opportunities. Neonomics did not disclose the identities of the participating shareholders or provide further details about the funding terms.
