AI startup bilt.me has raised €615,000 in pre-seed funding in a round led by Superhero Capital, with backing from Bolt founder Markus Villig and Lightyear founder Martin Sokk. Founded in Tallinn in 2025, bilt.me develops an AI-native platform that lets users build, deploy and sell native iOS and Android apps without coding by describing their ideas in plain language. The platform also provides payments, cloud infrastructure and app-sharing tools, with users able to export the underlying React Native code. The new funding will support international expansion and further development of the platform as bilt.me grows its app-building and publishing capabilities.

bilt.me is a software company developing an AI-based platform for building and publishing native mobile applications without traditional coding. Founded in Tallinn in 2025, the company allows users to describe an app idea in plain language and uses an AI agent to generate iOS and Android applications, with support for previewing, publishing and exporting React Native code. Its platform also includes services for payments, cloud infrastructure and app sharing, and is used for both consumer-facing applications and private or in-house tools.

“We should be honest with ourselves. Europe is behind on energy, behind on chips, behind on AI infrastructure, behind on the frontier models – those races may already be decided elsewhere,” said Uku Joost Annus, co-founder and CEO. “But there’s one layer where Europe is still world-class: the application layer, turning AI into things real people use and pay for. That layer runs on builders, and we don’t have nearly enough of them. Everyone told us the magic was in San Francisco. We went, and came home more convinced than ever that the builders are already here.”

Unlike many AI-assisted development platforms that focus on web applications, bilt.me is focused on native iOS and Android apps. Users can also export the React Native code generated by the platform. The company has developed additional infrastructure around its app-building platform, including Bilt Payments, Bilt Cloud and Bilt Link, covering payments, cloud services and app sharing.

“Our bet is that apps, not websites, are where the next generation of businesses gets built,” said Annus. Users describe their idea in plain language, and bilt.me’s AI agent builds the app, previews it on their phone, and helps publish it to the App Store and Google Play. Most AI app builders today generate web apps. bilt.me builds native iOS and Android apps, and users can export the React Native code behind them. There are more than a billion websites but only a few million apps. Apps are harder to build, so fewer people make them, and bilt.me sees that gap as its opportunity to make everyone an entrepreneur. Building native also means building everything around the app. With no strong tools on the market, the team made its own payments, cloud, and sharing layers: Bilt Payments, Bilt Cloud, and Bilt Link.

bilt.me says thousands of people are currently building on the platform, with around 75% creating consumer applications and the remaining 25% using it for private or in-house tools. Applications created through the platform are already live on the App Store and Google Play.

The startup says it has passed six figures in annual recurring revenue, with revenue doubling month over month for three consecutive months. Its pricing includes a free tier, paid plans starting at €13 per month and an enterprise offering with features including SSO, SCIM and zero data retention.

bilt.me was founded in August 2025 by Uku Joost Annus, Kevin Akkermann and Karl Kiilaspää. The project initially emerged from a hackathon focused on Apple’s app-testing restrictions before evolving into an AI agent designed to take users from an initial idea through to a published mobile application.

The company subsequently became part of the inaugural cohort of ruum, a hacker space in Tallinn’s Krulli Quarter.

The founders, who are in their early 20s, are building the company with a team of six engineers. The team also shares its development process publicly, including livestreaming work on bilt.me’s own applications.

For Annus, the company is built around the idea that mobile applications could become a more accessible starting point for new businesses.

The funding brings support from several founders associated with Estonia’s technology ecosystem. Villig, who founded mobility company Bolt, and Sokk, co-founder of investment platform Lightyear, participated alongside lead investor Superhero Capital.

Villig said the platform addresses a barrier he encountered when trying to build an application as a teenager.

“When I was 19, building an app was one of the biggest barriers to turning my idea into a company,” said Villig. “bilt.me is removing that barrier for the next generation of entrepreneurs. If anyone with an idea can build and launch a real product, we unlock far more people to start companies, solve problems, and create something valuable.”

The investment comes as bilt.me looks beyond Estonia. The company plans to use the new capital to support worldwide expansion and continue developing its platform.

For bilt.me, that includes further work on the AI agent itself as well as the infrastructure required to take an application from an initial idea to a functioning product distributed through mobile app stores.

“Our users are living at the frontier of AI,” said Annus. “They take knowledge only they have, solve a problem everyone shares, and build a real business out of nothing in almost no time. It’s ridiculous to watch.”

The startup’s longer-term ambition is to develop a platform through which people can create businesses around mobile applications without needing conventional software development skills.
