BeBeez Trading Floor roundup with eToro support about the performances of private capital firms listed on global exchanges.
London-listed Bridgepoint Capital (+9%) attracted the traders’ money after Citigroup and several investment banks significantly raised their target price for the share highlighting the growth in commission income (FRE). On 20 August, Thursday, the firm said in its 2Q26 results release that fee-generating assets grew by 30% while the Ebitda rose by 78%. Analysts sweetened their estimates of the economic impact of Kayne Anderson Real Estate acquisition. The company added a fifth business line to the group (following private equity, private credit, secondary assets and infrastructure), bringing assets under management to around 100 billion US Dollars.

Investors are responding very positively to the forthcoming simplification of the structure of NYSE-listed Brookfield Infrastructure Partners (+5.1%) that the firm may announce in mid-October’s extraordinary general meeting of shareholders. Such a strategy will benefit shareholders with a greater clarity about the tax implications of the group’s moves and a higher overall market capitalisation that will allow the stock to join the major market indices and enhancing its liquidity. Furthermore, the demand for data centres and AI-related energy infrastructure keeps driving the expansion of Brookfield’s Digital Data segment that secured long-term contracts with major technology players (hyperscalers).
NYSE-listed Blackstone Mortgage Trust (-12.8%) and Ares Commercial Real Estate (-8.5%) are still feeling the effects of the property sector struggle (see here a previous post by BeBeez).
Investors are penalising Paris-listed Wendel (-6.6%) after the completion of the share buyback programme that generated steady buying interest over recent months. A ‘sell on the news’ effect linked to the finalisation of the sale of the chemicals company Stahl also impacted the stock.
