A new large-scale data center campus is being planned in Mexico.

Cuasar Capital, part of the Spanish group EOSOL, and KA URBE IT have formed a partnership to jointly market the Cuasar Data Center campus in Durango.

The development will reportedly feature up to 300MW of capacity, aiming to position the state as a new hub for artificial intelligence and digital services infrastructure.

The campus will consist of two facilities. DC Norte Uno will have a total capacity of 300MW, of which 250MW will be dedicated to IT loads, and will be built on a 20-hectare site. The project is designed as a Tier III campus and geared toward high-density AI workloads.

The second facility, DC Norte Dos, will have a capacity of 7.74 MW, also with a Tier III classification, and will focus on Edge and industrial loads. The partnership will enable the companies to jointly market both facilities.

The scale of DC Norte Uno would place the project among the largest developments announced in Mexico.

According to information provided by KA URBE IT, the campus will have access to three carriers via the Phoenix–Querétaro connectivity corridor, providing routes to connect the facility with other markets and digital infrastructure hubs.

The Durango government had also previously reported on a letter of intent to build two Cuasar data centers, with a combined investment of approximately $3.4 billion

The development is further supported by EOSOL’s presence in Mexico’s energy sector. Cuasar has several photovoltaic projects in Durango and other states, while the company also highlights a portfolio of renewable energy projects on an international scale. The company claims more than 1GW of projects in operation, and another 4.5GW in development.

KA URBE IT is focused on greenfield and build-to-suit projects for renewable energy developments as well as data centers. The company has previously been focused on Chile.
