New 5,000-metric-ton press increases heat exchanger plate production at Tranter’s Vänersborg site

VÄNERSBORG, Sweden, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Tranter today inaugurates a new 5,000-metric-ton press at its Vänersborg manufacturing site, expanding production capacity for heat exchanger plates and strengthening the company’s ability to serve growing customer needs across global markets.

Designed for the production of heat exchanger plates, the new press features advanced automation and precision control technology to enable higher throughput, high precision and greater production efficiency. Modern safety and energy-efficient technology will also help reduce energy consumption and contribute to a safer and more sustainable manufacturing environment.

“The inauguration of our new press in Vänersborg represents an important investment in Tranter’s future,” said Brandy Moore, President & CEO of Tranter. “As demand for efficient heat transfer solutions increases, expanding our manufacturing capacity is essential to supporting our customers and our long-term growth. This investment reinforces our commitment to being a reliable partner to customers around the world.”

Strengthening Tranter’s manufacturing network

The new press is part of a broader investment in Tranter’s Vänersborg site, including new factory, service center and office facilities that bring the company’s local operations together at one location. The investment supports closer collaboration, greater operational efficiency and an improved working environment.

Together, these developments strengthen Vänersborg’s role within Tranter’s global manufacturing network, providing additional capacity to respond to customer demand worldwide.

“This is an important milestone for Tranter in Europe,” said Magnus Lindberg, Vice President, Tranter Europe & Middle East. “The new press, together with our new factory and office facilities, represents a major development of our Vänersborg site. It strengthens our production capabilities, improves operational efficiency and reinforces Vänersborg’s role as an important part of Tranter’s global manufacturing network.”
