The sale of a 51% of SAC, the manager of Catania and Comiso Airports, is gaining momentum (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The sell-side advisor Mediobanca shortlisted Corporacion America Airports, Royal Schiphol Group, Mundys, Adani Airport Holdings, SAVE, 2i Aeroporti, MAG Overseas Investment, Oman Airports Management Company, Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund, and Vinci Airports. Nico Torrisi is the ceo of SAC whose enterprise value amounts to 500 – 600 million euros.
Milan-listed Metriks AI B-Corp poured 0.075 million euros in the capital increase of EdiBeez, the publisher of BeBeez, that will amount to a total of 0.15 million paid in technological development activities (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The firms executed a binding agreement that reaches in May 2026 in the frame of a long-term strategic and industrial partnership. In June 2026, EdiBeez launched a new round aimed at securing up to 0.315 million by 1 March 2027. After having poured such a first tranche, Metriks now owns 3.5% of EdiBeez and once subscribed the whole capital increase it will have 6.3% – 6.7% depending on the actual extent to which the other shareholders exercise their option rights. The terms of such industrial partnership require Metriks to act as technololgy partner for the development, evolution and maintenance of BeBeez Private Data (the private capital database of BeBeez and FSI) with AI-native support. On the other hand, EdiBeez will provide proprietary data and editorial positioning ahead of allowing BeBeez to becoma a real-time decision-making tool. Tiziano Cetarini is the ceo of Metriks.
The Zanatta Family will buy 9.09% of Tecnica Group (and increase its stake to 69.09%) from Milan-listed Italmobiliare for 50 million euros (see here a previous post by BeBeez). After the closing, the vendor will have 30.91% of the target. Italmobiliare purchased 40% of Tecnica Group in 2017 for 60 million. Alberto Zanatta is the chairman of Tecnica Group.
Chiron Energy and Macquarie Capital, part of Macquarie Group launched Chiron Energy Power Generation (CEPG)in joint venture (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Chiron Energy will own 51% of the firm and retained UniCredit, KPMG, EOS Consulting, and PedersoliGattai. Macquarie Capital received assistance from Rothschild & Co, Vector Renewables and Ashurst Perkins Coie. Claudio Gigli will be the ceo of CEPG which aims to develop photovoltaic plants for a total power of at least 1 GW and BESS systems for 500 MW. Paolo Pesaresi is the founder and executive chairman of Chiron Energy. Matthew Edgar is Macquarie Capital Global Head of Energy Transition.
Etjca Group, a company that ceo Stefano Scabbio heads and which belongs to VAM Investments and KYIP Capital, said it acquired Forma-Tec, Gility and WOBI (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Etjca Group retained Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici, EY-Parthenon, Epyon Consulting, Tremonti Partners, ERM, and A&F Consulting. The buyer will keep appraising acquisitions. Gility was born in 2022 out of an industrial partnership of CDP Venture Capital – Boost Innovation and BPER Banca that invested 12.4 million euros. Davide Asteggiano is a partner of VAM Investments while Marco Piana is the ceo. Gianluca Losi is the ceo of KYIP Capital. Bianalisi, a company that ceo Giovanni Gianolli heads and is in the portfolio of Charme Capital Partners and Columna Capital, acquired Coram from the family of ceo Alessia Rampino that keep her role (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Riccardo Cisilino, shareholder and ceo of Coram Servizi Imprese will handle the company’s integration with Bianalisi which retained Orrick and Advant-NCTM. Coram received assistance from BRC & Associati, Ic&partners and P&F commercialisti associati. Giuseppe Cotroneo is Bianalisi head of m&a while Giuliano Caslini is the chairman. Axitea, a portfolio company of Argos Fund, acquired Digitronica.IT from Giorgio Daniele and Vinicio Menini (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Marco Bavazzano is the ceo of Axitea. On 30 July, Thursday, EHI!, a spac that Banca Ifis and Mauro Girardi (ceo with 42.86% voting rights) launched, listed on Milan market after having raised 35 million euros for carrying on a business combination with an Italian firm with a 40 – 100 million euros equity value (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Raffaele Zingone is the co-coo of Illimity Bank which placed 18.685 million for EHI that also belongs to Ashenden Finance (5.71% – 3.27% voting rights); Banca Credinvest (8.57% – 4.90%); AcomeA (5.71% – 3.27%); Giovanni Doppiu (6.29% – 3.59%); Michele Mario Cardona (8% – 4.57%); Paolo Iacono (5.71% – 3.27%). The owners of public traded shares have 60% of EHI! and 34.29% voting rights. The firm’s further directors are Michele Giuseppe Vietti (Chairman and independent director); Federico Borgna, (independent director); Franco Fontana (independent director); Davide Cilli (independent director); Francesca Bazoli (independent director); and Claudia Bugno (independent director).
Newport & Co signed a binding agreement for acquiring the ReHa business unit of Health Care Group (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The closing should take place in September Sources said to BeBeez that since 2020 the business posted a 18% steady growth rate from around 4 million euros in revenue to over 10 million in 2025.
BU-Bregal Unternehmerkapital moved its majority stake in Safety21, a company that also belongs to HAT and Gianluca Longo, into a multi-asset continuation fund with the support of LGT Capital Partners and Pantheon as lead investors (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Evercore acted as deal advisors. The continuation fund that previously raised 811 million euros also acquired BU stake in German Onlineprinters. BC Partners reached an agreement for acquiring a co-controlling stake in Swiss InfoRLife from the ceo Sergio Dusci and the founders of Italy’s ACS Dobfar (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Press items reported that the buyer acquired a 50% of the target on the ground of an enterprise value of 1.5 billion US Dollars. BC Partners retained Latham & Watkins, Studio Legale Tributario Facchini Rossi Michelutti, PwC, Bär & Karrer, Jefferies, and Rothschild. ACS Dobfar received assistance from Alira Health and LCA. Marco Castelli and Matt Evans are partners of BC.
Milan-listed Webuild said it will launch a 295 million euros (4,5 euros per share) public offer on Trevi Finanziaria Industriale, a firm that also belongs to CDP Equity (21.3%), Praude Asset Management (14.1%) and Polaris Capital Management (6.6%) (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Trevi reportedly declined a take over bid from Milan-listed ICOP. Pietro Salini is the ceo of Webuild which set a 66.7% threshold for the offer and retained Goldman Sachs, Intesa Sanpaolo-IMI CIB, Natixis, Provasoli Advisory Partners, Giliberti Triscornia e Associati, and Carbonetti e Associati.
Protos, a portfolio company of HIG Capital since March 2025, acquired Hydea from ceo Paolo Giustiniani (former 61.05% owner), Lorenzo Lapini Sacchetti (6.98%), Fabio Berardi (5.23%), Alberto Brizio (3.49%), Enzo Floridi (3.49%), Pietro Bruscoli (3.14%), and further minority shareholders (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Capza financed the transaction. Hydea retained Scouting Capital & Family Advisors and LCA assisted the vendors. Pavia e Ansaldo and Partners and ADVANT Nctm advised Protos. Milan-listed Interpump Group acquired Teknoice from former 81% owner Itago which retained Eversheds-Sutherland, Luigi Ferrarini, Santino Conte, and ceo Giancarlo Maganza (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Domenico Tonussi, Piergiorgio Fantin, Daniele Mondi, Nicola Bordignon, and Piergiorgio Fantin are partners of ITAGO which reportedly aims to raise 180 – 200 million euros for its new fund. Marco Nespolo, the current ceo of Fedrigoni (a portfolio company of Bain Capital and BC Partners), is close to heading FiberCop, the Italian landline network of KKR, ADIA (17.5%), CPP Investments (17.5%), Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF – 16%), and F2i (11.2%) (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Nespolo could replace Massimo Sarmi who may become chairman. ADIA suggested to the headhunter Spencer Stuart to appraise Marco Patuano, the ceo of Cellnex. MEF suggested Paolo Gallo, ceo of Italgas, Aldo Bisio, the ceo of Engineering, and Pietro Labriola, the ceo of Milan-listed TIM.
