Tensor Estate has taken a stake in MCF Group Estonia, the owner and operator of the Greenergy Data Centers facility near Tallinn, Estonia.
Launched in 2022, Greenergy Data Centers is the Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund’s (3SIIF) first digital investment. The development was first announced in 2015 and was initially planned to have three buildings.
The companies said the investment would provide expansion capital for the facility to grow in response to AI demand.
3SIIF remains the majority shareholder. As part of the transaction, a joint supervisory board has been established with representatives of both 3SIIF and Tensor Estate. Operations will continue under current management.
“We welcome Tensor Estate as a new shareholder in MCF Group Estonia,” said Cameron Cook, senior investment director at Amber Infrastructure, investment adviser to 3SIIF. “As the majority shareholder, 3SIIF remains fully committed to supporting the continued development of Greenergy Data Centers. The ongoing expansion of the data center in response to unprecedented demand from the artificial intelligence market is underway, and we look forward to the full commercialization of this strategically important digital infrastructure asset.”
Kert Evert, CEO of MCF Group Estonia, added: “We have been developing the infrastructure for years with a long-term perspective. Tensor joining us supports our long-term growth objectives.”
