Swiss piping vendor Georg Fischer (GF) saw Year-on-Year orders for direct-to-chip liquid cooling systems double in the first half of 2026.

The company has been cashing in on the AI boom, according to its mid-year report, which was released on Friday.

It notes: “For the data center end-market, where order intake doubled in the first half of the year, GF expanded its compelling offering of direct-to-chip liquid cooling solutions for the server room. Innovations included an energy-balancing valve for precise temperature control, and LiquidCore, which combines GF’s polymer piping, valves and instrumentation in prefabricated modules.

“With several proof-of-concepts ongoing and advanced discussions with hyperscalers and co-location firms, GF continues to see polymer-based solutions gain traction in the market based on higher energy efficiency, speed of installation and lower total cost of ownership.”

GF launched its LiquidCore system for liquid-cooled data centers in November 2025. Founded in 1802 and based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, the company makes pipes for the safe transport of a wide variety of liquids and gases, as well as a host of other industrial components.

Alongside data centers, it also supplies piping to companies in the semiconductor industry, and the mid-year report states that 2026 has seen it enter into “several multi-year supply agreements with some of the largest customers in the semiconductor industry, securing a record level of committed orders for multiple fabs.”

Following the report’s publication, GF’s share price rose 13 percent, to 52.25 Swiss Francs ($64), its highest valuation since February.

This week also saw GF announce a partnership with Parker Hannifin to offer a package that combines high-performance hose and fitting technology with advanced polymer valve design in a single pre-assembled coupling for direct liquid cooling.

The GF Quick Connect Valve 700 Coupling will be marketed with Parker Hannifin’s hose connection, and ship as an integrated plug-and-play system, simplifying installation while supporting reliable direct liquid cooling operations, the companies said.

“By combining the strengths of GF and Parker, we are enabling a lightweight, fast, clean and efficient connection from the distribution header to the rack,” said Charles Freda, global head of data centers at GF. “Together, we are helping create a more reliable and efficient cooling infrastructure from distribution to the IT rack.”
