Superstrada Pedemontana Veneta (SPV) refinanced its junior debt for up to 350 million euros with the support of lead investor Ares Infrastructure Debt and Vantage Infrastructure, a previous lender that decided to to transfer their commitment to the new funding line (see here a previous post by BeBeez). SPV received 310 million at the closing. FinX Capital and Ashurst Perkins Coie assisted SPV and its owner SIS, a joint venture that the Dogliani Family and Spain’s Sacyr signed. White & Case, Norton Rose Fulbright and Tremonti Partners advised Ares Infrastructure Debt and Vantage Infrastructure. The transaction refinances the subordinated 2017 debt that supported the construction of the infrastructure and enables to exit the greenfield investors such as Marguerite and Westbourne Capital. In 2017, Marguerite invested 40 million in the subordinate tranche of a 350 million project bond that was part of a 1.571 billion programme (1.221 billion senior) in support of the construction of the motorway Pedemontana Veneta which is operative since 2023. The completion of the infrastructure and the stabilisation of traffic flows, as the concession agreement with the Veneto Region warrants, allowed to replace the costly subordinated debt incurred during the construction phase with a new line of credit on more favourable terms. The senior Bond received a BBB+ grade with stable outlook from Fitch Ratings.
Corneliani, a fashion firm in receivership that belongs to Investcorp (51%) and Fondo di Salvaguardia Imprese (49%), is looking for an investor to replace its minority shareholder, said the Italian Ministry of Entreprises and Made in Italy (Mimit) (see here a previous post by BeBeez). On 30 September, Wednesday, a shareholder meeting will take place for reviewing the process. Giorgio Brandazza is the ceo of Corneliani.
DeA Capital Real Estate (DCRE) refinanced the debt of Millennium Luxury, a fund that Fort Partners subscribed, with a green loan of 280 million euros and a tenure of five year that may extend of further two years that Crédit Agricole CIB provided (see here a previous post by BeBeez). DLA Piper and Dentons advised the lenders. DCRE will invest such resources in the redevelopment of the 20000 sqms Palazzo Marini building in Piazza San Silvestro in Rome and the square in front of it. The asset will host Four Seasons Hotel Rome. Carron Cav. Angelo will act as general contractor. Nadim Ashi heads Fort Partners. Giancarlo Scotti is the chairman of DeA Capital Real Estate. Jamie Mabilat is the Senior Country Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB Italia
