Two former senior members of Knight Frank’s land and development team have launched a new residential development consultancy focused on the Midlands market.

Will Jordan and Charlie Steele have established Ashlawn Chase, a firm that will advise landowners, developers and investors on land acquisitions and disposals, development consultancy and strategic land opportunities.

Based in Henley-in-Arden, the consultancy has been launched with a focus on providing direct access to senior advisers, with clients working directly with the firm’s founders.

Jordan and Steele bring almost 40 years of combined experience in the residential development sector, having previously advised on a range of projects across the Midlands, including city centre regeneration schemes, residential developments and mixed-use sites.

The pair have held senior roles within Knight Frank’s land and development business, where they were involved in transactions and advisory work across Birmingham and the wider region.

The launch comes amid continued activity in the residential land market, with developers and landowners seeking specialist advice as they navigate planning challenges, viability pressures and changing market conditions.

Jordan, formerly head of development at Knight Frank’s Birmingham office, said: “After many years advising across the Midlands market, we saw an opportunity to create a business that offers straightforward, commercially focused advice without unnecessary complexity.
“The market remains challenging and clients increasingly value direct access to experienced advisers who understand both the opportunities and the risks. Ashlawn Chase has been built around that principle.”
Steele added: We’ve always shared a similar approach to business, relationship-led, commercially grounded and focused on delivering results. Launching Ashlawn Chase gives us the opportunity to provide a more personal and agile service to clients across the region.”
