KKR and Capital Group launch public-private fund GMS+ in Europe and Asia-Pacific through HSBC Private Bank

US private capital giants Capital Group and NYSE-listed KKR announced the launch of Capital Group KKR Global Multi-Sector+ (GMS+), a vehicle that aims to allocate resources in public (60% – Capital Group will manage them) and private credit (40% – KKR), for investors in selected European and Asian Pacific markets that can now subscribe to the product through HSBC Private Bank (press release). Capital Group and KKR launched GMS+ in the frame of the public-private strategic partnership that signed in 2024.

In April 2025, the firms launched US interval credit funds Capital Group KKR Core Plus+ and Capital Group KKR Multi-Sector+ (press release). In July 2025, Capital Group filed with SEC the papers for Capital Group KKR U.S. Equity+, a public-private equity vehicle that may be available to US investors later in 2026.

GMS+ is a sub-fund of Luxembourg SICAV Capital Group Alternative Investments Funds and is only available to professional high net worth investors.

Capital Group will manage the vehicle which has a global multisector structure for investing in public and private markets while KKR will act as advisor. The fund aims to generate a steady high yield through the investment in several sectors, public traded fixed income bonds and private credit items.

GSM+ will grant monthly redemption opportunities of up to 3% of the fund’s total net assets, a level higher than that typically available in pure private credit funds, although lower than that of the two US interval funds, which provide for quarterly redemptions of up to 10% of outstanding units.

Guy Henriques, Capital Group President Europe and Asia Pacific Client Group, said: ”GMS+ is a comprehensive credit solution designed to sit halfway between traditional bond funds and alternative investments, offering the potential for higher returns, lower volatility and greater diversification.”

Eric Mogelof, KKR partner and Head of Global Client Solutions, added: “Such partnership combines our companies’ nearly 150 years of leadership in the investment sector. Having a single point of access for large-scale investment in public and private markets is a truly compelling value proposition”.

Lavanya Chari, HSBC Head of Wealth and Premier Solutions, concluded: “Such partnership reflects HSBC’s commitment to providing clients with innovative solutions that bring together key expertise from the public and private sectors within a single, integrated approach”.
