Arndt earned his PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in 2006, where he focused on Multi-Agent Systems, now often referred to as Agentic AI. With more than 17 years of experience across technology, digital business, and startup growth, he has advised more than 600 startups, scale-ups, SMBs, and corporates on digital business models, product and technology strategy, including AI, metrics-based financial planning, investor readiness, growth, scaling, and M&A preparation. He also brings first-hand experience as a co-founder of several technology businesses, combining deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of product and business strategy.
Schwaiger is also the creator of the Business Model DNA (BMDNA) framework, which forms the foundation of his workshops, masterclasses, and hands-on advisory work. He is known for bridging the “magic triangle” of technology, product, and business model and strategy, helping teams translate complex ideas into actionable mechanisms and identify the key metrics that drive execution. Alongside running his own ventures and delivering coaching and workshops, he supports organisations in board, advisory, and angel roles, and regularly contributes as a speaker and jury member across the startup ecosystem.
At the Summit, Schwaiger will deliver a talk titled “The Death of SaaS? Why AI Agents Replace Tools AND Consultants – and How Founders Should Rethink Everything”. In this session, he will explore how AI agents are reshaping software, services, and startup strategy, and what founders need to understand as the next wave of AI-driven business models begins to challenge traditional SaaS thinking.
